As you can see, bulk of the job losses have been in the Leisure and Hospitality. This is largely due to the lockdowns that the state governments have rightly imposed to curb the spread of coronavirus (SARS-COV-2). But once the R0 (rate of infection) comes down and more and more states open up their economies this industry is bound to bounce back, though not to the levels we were at pre-covid but definitely higher than what we expect to. If you would like to do more in-depth analysis on the jobs numbers please check out this data set that we have uploaded to AWS Data Exchange. You can analyze jobs numbers by industry for the past 20 years. This data set is updated as soon as government releases new numbers each month so that you can keep track of the bounce back. This can be a great tool in analyzing how the economy is responding to changing situation with the pandemic. Check out this video to see how you can leverage this data set.
